Regular attendance is vital for your child’s education and future
prospects. The law requires parents to ensure that children attend school
on time every day unless they are seriously ill. We expect all pupils to
achieve at least 95% attendance and we ask that parents only keep children
off for the most serious reasons. We also ask that you contact the school
on the first day of any absence and then confirm the reason in writing,
with the dates. It is only the school that can authorise an absence, not
parents. I ask that parents do not take pupils out of school for holidays
in term time, and except in particular circumstances, I do NOT authorise
holidays. Any request for a holiday must be made in advance on the holiday
form.
Again, it is essential that
parents support the school
in all these matters - if you
feel that you can't, then
perhaps Wyvern isn't the school
for your child. |
